As active and rather health conscientious climbers ourselveswhoavoidmost packaged and ultra-refined foods, whilealso living on a tight budgetwere always looking fornatural and efficient food options that we wont hate ourselves for putting into our bodies. So, over the course of several weeks, we tried out two of Gnarly Nutritionsproducts: their Natural Grass Fed New Zealand Whey Protein in the Vicious Vanilla flavor and the Vegan Feast Protein Powder in Chiseled Chocolate (also touted as a meal replacement). To supplement our testing and gain some more opinions, wealso had some of our non-climbing (but physically active) friends give the products a try. Grass Fed Whey Our review of Gnarly Nutritions whey and vegan protein powders As mentioned before, we greatly favor natural foods over processed ones, so when it comes to protein or meal replacements in powder formthe ingredients and nutrients they offer matter. Taste, of course, matters significantly, too. Natural ingredients andoptimized nutrition In terms of protein powder, if you favor quality over quantity, then youll be pleased with Gnarly Nutritions offerings. Gnarly Nutritions protein powders dont have sucralose, aspartame, or any other (terrifying) artificial sweeteners that often sneak their way into other powders. Instead, they use a blend of natural sweeteners, including Monk Fruit, Stevia, and Erthritol.Gnarly Nutritions products are also free of artificial flavoringor food coloring, which are often linked to cancer causing agents cause, do we really need to be consuming whatever the hell Blue 2 and Yellow 5 are? This Whey Protein is not only really tasty, it's very clean. LOVE your products thank boo much !!! I prefer the NZ Whey Protein and the natural taste as always. This is a must have product!” Kyle on 11/06/2013 I was concerned that this protein wouldn't be as flavourful as the one I was ordering previous, but it actually tastes even better. If you would like confirmation of the product being from New Zealand we would be happy to provide that do you. I bought the unflavoured and unsweetened and very please thus far. Very happy with this purchase and will purchase 25lb in bulk soon! The protein also helps regulate hormone levels, it boosts the metabolism, it strengthens the immune system, and much more besides.
